CM Revanth announces Rs 35 crore for development of Medak Church, participates in Christmas celebrations
The chief minister also initiated many development works with Rs 192 crore in Medak constituency

Medak: Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy has announced Rs 35 crore for the development of Medak Cathedral Church. He participated in the ChristmasāÆcelebrations and attended the special prayers held at the Church premises on Wednesday.
Speaking on the occasion, Revanth Reddy said, āI have been maintaining a special affinity with the Medak Church. I visited the holy place as the TPCC president and sought blessings and vowed that I would come to the famous church again as the chief minister. I am delighted to celebrate the centenary celebrations of Medak Church in a grand manner and I extend greetings to the Christian community on the occasion of Christmas.ā
The chief minister said that the famous Medak Cathedral Church completed 100 years and was recognised as a famous holy place. The government released adequate funds for the development of the Church. āToday, I visited the church and celebrated Christmas and also centenary celebrations of the Church along with devout people,ā he said.

Beneficiaries of welfare schemes
Revanth Reddy also said that the Congress government is for the poor. Dalit and tribal Christians will be the largest beneficiaries of the Indiramma housing scheme. These communities are also benefiting from the 200 units of free power supply schemes, he said.
āChristian missionaries paid special focus to education and medicine. Inspired by their services, the Congress government introduced fee reimbursement and Rajiv Arogyasri. The State government is moving forward for the development of the Medak district,ā the chief minister said.
As part of his visit to Medak, earlier CM Revanth Reddy visited Edupayala Vanadurga Mata Amma in Papannapet mandal. The chief minister performed special rituals in the temple and offered silk robes to the goddess on the occasion.
The chief minister also initiated many development works with Rs 192 crore including construction of roads connecting various tribal villages in Medak constituency at a cost of Rs 52.76 crore. Apart from that, he laid the foundation stone for the construction of the Young India Integrated Residential School Complex.
The other development works include the construction of Indira Mahila Shakti Bhavan with Rs 5 crore, Rs 100 crore Bank Linkage cheque given to SHG women of Medak district and road widening, construction of divider and installation of high mast lights at Edupayala at a cost of Rs 35 crore.
TPCC president B Mahesh Kumar Goud, ministers Konda Surekha, Damodara Rajanarsimha, Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy, MP Suresh Shetkar, MLAs and others were present.
