Hyderabad Task Force busts illegal, unhygienic bakery in Golconda

Hyderabad: An illegal manufacturing unit called ‘Chand Bakery’ at Natraj Nagar, Jhirra, at Golconda, was raided as part of the wider crackdown on the sale of spurious food products.

The Commissioner’s Task Force, Golconda Zone, along with Tappachabutra police, organised the raid and arrested the unit’s owner, Syed Khadeer (42), a resident of Ambedkar Nagar Colony, Asif Nagar.

Officials revealed that the unit lacked essential documentation, including food manufacturing licenses, trade licenses and labour permits.

Furthermore, the establishment did not comply with basic fire safety protocols.

“The accused was supplying these sub-standard bakery products to various Kirana stores, general stores, cafes and hotels across the city, directly endangering public health,” police stated.

During the raid, authorities seized a significant quantity of raw materials and finished products, valued at approximately Rs 2,77,630. The seized inventory includes:
