Hyderabad: The National Academy of Legal Studies and Research (NALSAR) University of Law signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel National Police Academy (SVPNPA), Hyderabad on 13 December to roll out new courses in criminal justice management for the students of NALSAR.
The degrees that are likely to be offered at NALSAR include Master's degree in criminal justice management and PG diploma in criminal justice management.
The MoU was signed by Professor Srikrishna Deva Rao, the Vice-Chancellor of NALSAR, and A.S Rajan, director of SVPNPA, in the presence of NALSAR registrar Prof. V. Balakista Reddy, SVPNPA joint director (administration & senior courses) Amit Garg, and other faculty members of both the institutions.
Through this MoU, the two institutions will jointly offer diploma, certificate, and short-term courses for the in-service IPS officers on contemporary areas and will explore and work on the development and promotion of research collaboration in areas of mutual interest.
Further, both parties agreed to facilitate the exchange of faculty and resource persons for academic and research purposes. The parties will also develop and organise thematic short-term training programs, seminars, conferences, and workshops in the areas of mutual interest and in association with relevant national and international industry partners.
