Cyberabad: 4 drug peddlers held; drugs worth Rs 7 crores seized

Hyderabad: The Cyberabad Police, along with the support of Telangana Anti-Narcotics Bureau (TGANB) nabbed four drug peddlers near Shilparamam of Madhapur Police station limits. The police recovered one kg of heroin (four packets each containing 250 grams) and four smartphones worth Rs 7 crore.

Disclosing the case details before the media at his office here on Saturday, Cyberabad commissioner of police Avinash Mohanty said that the accused were identified as Nemi Chand Bhati (main drug peddler), Narpath Singh (drug peddler), Ajay Bhati and Harish Sirvi who were part of the selling crew. All of them are natives of Rajasthan, he said.

The CP said that prime accused Nemi Chand used to get heroin and MDMA from Santhosh Achary, a notorious drug peddler, presently in Jodhpur jail, and sold it to needy customers and other peddlers. Nemi Chand came to Hyderabad almost two-and-a-half months ago to his brother-in-law Ajay Bhati and discussed selling heroin and MDMA to earn huge money.

Ajay Bati and his friend Harish Sirvi agreed to the idea of Nemi Chand. All planned to dispose of it in Madhapur for a good price targeting Rajasthanis and businessmen. As per their plan, Nemi Chand and Narpath Singh came to Hyderabad with one kilogram of heroin in four packets and met Ajay Bhati and Harish Sirvi to sell the drug in Hyderabad. On credible information, the police apprehended them along with one kg of heroin, Avinash Mohanty said.

The CP also requested the public to inform the police about any information related to drugs/ganja suppliers through Dial 100 or through the Cyberabad WhatsApp number 9490617444. ā€œManagement of educational institutions are requested to keep an eye on studentsā€™ activities. Any information related to drugs/ganja should be informed to the police immediately. The identity will be kept confidential,ā€ he said.
