Hyderabad: A joint team of experts has suggested vacating all the houses adjacent to the gutted Deccan Cooperation building in Secunderabad.
"Based on the expert opinion that the building may collapse anytime, the officials briefed the neighboring building owners/tenants to support and vacate their houses till further information", said Deputy Commissioner of Police, Central Zone, Hyderabad city Rajesh Chandra.
Earlier a joint team of experts visited the gutted Deccan Cooperation building at Radha Arcade, Minister Road. The team comprised Ramana Rao Director of NIIT, Warangal, GHMC officials, clues, electricity department, and fire and police officials.
Ramana Rao, Director NIT suggested that the building is in dilapidated condition. He said the slab of the building has developed cracks. Some of its portions have caved in. He suggested deploying force and preventing trespassing.
The traffic has been diverted from both access points of the fire accident site to avoid untoward incidents. Two drone cameras have been deployed to keep watch in the area. After verifying the footage, it is found that most of the ceilings have collapsed. However, missing persons are still untraced.
