Hyderabad: Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka Mallu alleged that in the last few months, a malicious campaign has been run against the ongoing development works in Hyderabad.
As much as Rs 10,000 crores has been allocated for the development of Hyderabad city and this expenditure is for the capital alone, he said.
Speaking at the property show organised by NAREDCO at Hitex here on Saturday, Bhatti said, “Hyderabad is ours, belongs to all of us and it is a jewel in the crown of India and is emerging as a global city.”
Hyderabad is home to all
The State government is sincere and determined to develop Hyderabad on a big scale. Hyderabad is a city that is home to all, the deputy CM said.
The past governments have set up BHEL, HAL, CCMB and other prestigious public sector institutions in the city and also set up residential accommodation for employees. Housing Board colonies were set up at Kukatpally, Vengalrao Nagar, Barkatpura etc.
Elaborating on the development plans valued at Rs 10,000 crores, he said that the funds would be utilised for providing facilities like flyovers, underpasses and drainages and to attract real estate developers from across the world.
Plans to develop JNTU and IIIT
“Drinking water is being provided from the Godavari, Krishna and Manjira rivers without giving scope for drinking water problems. The Outer Ring Road around Hyderabad gained prominence in the entire country. An international airport, multi-speciality hospitals, and prestigious institutions such as JNTU and IIIT are in Hyderabad. The State government is thinking of developing them further for the benefit of future generations,” he said.
Elaborating further on Hyderabad’s development, the deputy CM said 39 STPs were sanctioned for the treatment of polluted drains.
“The chief minister and the State government are firm in their decision to provide a beautiful life to the Musi displaced. Residential towers will be constructed for them in the same area with all the facilities. Integrated schools will be constructed for the children of the Musi displaced,” the deputy CM said.
The displaced DWCRA women group members will be given interest-free loans to the tune of Rs 1,000 crores and small-scale units will be set up to provide employment opportunities, he said.
Denouncing a ‘motivated negative campaign’ against HYDRAA, Bhatti said that the permission for the buildings was given by government departments like GHMC and HMDA and not HYDRAA.
Future City
“The future belongs to Hyderabad,” Bhatti said listing Musi Rejuvenation, Regional Ring Road projects and the construction of a wonderful Future City on 30,000 acres that can be reached from the airport in 30 minutes.
He also said that a world-class university, cricket stadium, and AI projects would come up in the Future City. Of 30,000 acres, 15,000 acres will be developed as green belt.
Bhatti said a meeting will be organised with the State level bankers committee soon to get clarity on the problems of realtors with bankers. There was a lull in the registrations due to Assembly and Parliament elections but now they gained momentum.
The State government is with an open mind to hear about the problems of real estate developers and discuss their issues, he said.
Deputy CM Bhatti made it clear that the Congress government will not pick favourites and keep others at a distance like the previous government.
