Hyderabad: Dhoolpet Mahankali Temple celebrated its 100th anniversary with grand Bonalu festivities, drawing thousands of devotees in a vibrant display of devotion and tradition.
Minister offers special prayers
Minister for Labour Gaddam Vivek Kumar attended as the chief guest and offered special prayers at the temple. Extending greetings on the occasion of Ashadam Bonalu, he lauded the communityās dedication to preserving the templeās heritage.
Tribute to the founderās vision
The temple was founded by Kamtam Anthayya Patel after he received a divine vision, and has remained a sacred cornerstone of Dhoolpet for generations.
Speaking on the occasion, Founder Trustee Sri Kamtam Sanjay Patel said, āIt is a moment of immense pride to witness our community honour this legacy with unity and devotion.ā
Family members offer Bonam together
In a rare and emotional gathering, all members of the Kamtam Anthayya Patel family tree came together to offer Bonam to Goddess Mahankali. The celebrations featured traditional Band, Potharaju, and Ghatam processions, adding spiritual depth and cultural grandeur to the occasion.

The centenary event was made possible through the collective efforts of temple committee members, volunteers, and devotees, who ensured a memorable and spiritually enriching experience. Traditional rituals, Bonalu offerings, and cultural performances defined the day, reinforcing the communityās deep-rooted faith.
