SpiceJet flight to Ayodhya (SG611) will depart from Hyderabad at 10.45 hours and arrive in Ayodhya at 12.45 hours

Direct flights from Hyderabad to Ayodhya begins today

Hyderabad: Forging first-time flight connectivity between two cities, the GMR Hyderabad International Airport started direct flight services from Hyderabad to Ayodhya on Tuesday.

The SpiceJet flight to Ayodhya (SG611) will depart from Hyderabad at 10 45 hours and arrive in Ayodhya at 12 45 hours. The return flight (SG616) will depart from Ayodhya at 13 25 hours and arrive in Hyderabad at 15.25 hours. This nonstop flight service will depart every Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday.

Sharing his excitement about the addition, Pradeep Panicker, CEO of GMR Hyderabad International Airport Limited, said, “We are excited to introduce the new service as part of our commitment to offering a diverse range of travel choices for our passengers. This new route will open the door for travellers to new cultural and pilgrimage destinations in the city of Ayodhya. Our continuous efforts to serve our passengers better are focused on increasing connectivity to multiple destinations from the city. Hyderabad Airport collaboratively works with the airline fraternity to expand their routes.”

Located in the northern part of India, Ayodhya holds significant religious and historical importance. Recognised as a sacred city and revered as the birthplace of Lord Rama, Ayodhya also serves as a historical centre for Buddhists and Jains.

Renowned for its temples, riverfront ghats along the Sarayu River, and lush gardens, Ayodhya offers a rich cultural and spiritual experience. The town boasts numerous Jain temples, reflecting its association with the births of five Jain Tirthankars. Ayodhya stands as a testament to its diverse heritage and cultural significance.
