Dont visit mee-seva center for Rs 10k relief: GHMC officials

Hyderabad: Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) officials have asked flood-affected victims not to visit mee-seva center for Rs 10000 relief.

In a statement, GHMC said victims need not approach the Mee-seva centers. "Officials will inspect the flood-affected families. Post verification of their identification, the money will be directly credited to their bank account," it said.

It is to note that the distribution of flood relief was stopped before the GHMC polls as it violated the model code of conduct. However during the release of the TRS Manifesto for the GHMC Polls, Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao said post-elections officials will inspect the flood affected families and relief will be released accordingly.

On Monday, many affected families were found in long queues before mee-seva centers in twin cities.
