Hailing from a modest farming family in Khammam, Dr Ruthās journey is a testament to her unwavering determination and grit, overcoming formidable odds along the way.
Growing up as an orphan, Dr Ruth faced a series of challenges on her path to education, ultimately triumphing by earning her MBBS degree through sheer merit. Her resilience and commitment to her dreams have been nothing short of inspiring.
Currently, Dr Ruth serves as a medical officer in the ART Section of OGH (Osmania General Hospital), where she specialises in the compassionate care of individuals affected by HIV/AIDS. Her dedication to the medical field and her patients is a source of pride for her colleagues and the medical community as a whole.
One individual who played a pivotal role in supporting Dr Ruthās aspirations is Dr B Nagender, the Superintendent of OGH. Recognising her potential and commitment to the medical profession, Dr Nagender initiated a heartfelt fundraising campaign. In an incredible show of solidarity, OGH doctors and staff collectively contributed Rs 1 lakh towards Dr Ruthās admission fees, which amounted to Rs 2.5 lakhs.
To bridge the remaining financial gap of Rs 1.5 lakhs, HHF-SEED, an NGO, generously stepped in to ensure that Dr Ruthās dream became a reality. This heartwarming gesture not only demonstrates the power of collective support but also reinforces the spirit of inclusivity and equality.
