Hyderabad: Drinking water supply in several parts of the city will be partially disrupted on November 26 (Wednesday) due to scheduled maintenance work at power supply stations connected to Krishna Phase-1, 2, and 3 pumping systems.
Supply disruption due to power shutdown for maintenance
The Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board (HMWSSB) announced that the bulk feeders supplying uninterrupted power to Krishna water pumping stations will undergo replacement of damaged Current Transformers (CTs).
To facilitate this work, TGTRANSCO will shut down power supply to the 132 kV substations at Nasarlapalli from 10 am to 4 pm, causing a 6-hour interruption.
Areas likely to experience partial water supply disruption
Water supply under Krishna Phases 1, 2 and 3 will be affected in the following O&M divisions:
1. Division-1: Charminar
2. Division-2: Vinay Nagar
3. Division-3: Bojagutta
4. Division-4: Red Hills
5. Division-5: Narayanaguda
6. Division-6: SR Nagar
7. Division-7: Maredpally
8. Division-8: Riyasat Nagar
9. Division-9: Kukatpally
10. Division-10: Saheb Nagar
11. Division-11: Hayath Nagar
12. Division-13: Sainikpuri
13. Division-14: Uppal
14. Division-15: Hafeezpet
15. Division-16: Rajendranagar
16. Division-18: Manikonda
17. Division-19: Boduppal
18. Division-20: Meerpet
Advisory to residents
Residents in affected localities are advised to store water in advance and use it judiciously until normal supply resumes, HMWSSB said in a press release issued on Monday.
