Driving near IIIT Hyderabad? Expect traffic diversions for a year

Hyderabad: Due to the construction of a multi-level flyover and underpass, traffic patterns around IIIT Hyderabad Junction would be significantly altered.

Commuters are advised that these changes will remain in effect for approximately one year, starting from today, which is April 8.

Key diversion routes

If you travel through these areas, please follow the designated alternative paths to avoid congestion:

Heading from Gachibowli towards Lingampally: Traffic will be diverted from IIIT Junction towards Wipro Junction, then take a right turn through Gowlidoddi – Gopanpally Junction – Nallagandla – Lingampally.

Heading from Financial District, Gowlidoddi, Q-city, and Kokapet towards IIIT Junction: Traffic will be diverted from Wipro Junction towards Nanakramguda Rotary-2, then take a left turn to merge into the ORR towards Gachibowli Junction.

Heading from Lingampally towards Gachibowli, Kothaguda, or Mehdipatnam: Traffic will be diverted from SMR/HCU Bus Depot Junction towards Mazidbanda – Sriramnagar – Botanical Junction – take a right turn – Udipi Hotel – U-turn – ZPHS Gachibowli – Gachibowli Junction.

As per the advisory issued by the Cyberabad Commissionerate, regular commuters and IT professionals are requested to plan their trips well in advance and utilise these alternate routes to ensure a safer and smoother commute while the development works are ongoing.
