A separate case was also filed against Tripura Resorts’ general manager, Sivarama Krishna, for allowing the event without the necessary clearances.

Authorities seized foreign liquor suspected to have been served illegally and confiscated DJ equipment used without proper sound permissions. These violations were booked under the Excise Act and the Sound Pollution Act, in addition to the NDPS Act for drug-related offences.

Mangli responds to birthday party controversy: "Don’t level baseless allegations against me"
Folk singer Mangli has broken her silence over the controversy surrounding her recent birthday party, clarifying that the gathering was organized at the request of her parents and involved only close friends.
In a statement, Mangli said she was unaware that prior permission was required for serving liquor or using a sound system. "Had I known, I would have certainly obtained the necessary approvals," she said.
Refuting allegations of drug use at the event, she asserted, “There were no narcotic substances at the party — only locally sourced liquor was served. The individual who allegedly used ganja did not consume it during our event.”
Appealing to the public and media, Mangli urged, “Please do not level baseless accusations against me without evidence.”
Authorities are said to be continuing their probe into the incident, which came to light after reports surfaced about substance use at a private birthday celebration allegedly hosted without official permissions.
