E-Mobility week: Hundreds of electric vehicles take part in Rally-E Hyd

Hyderabad: Hundreds of electric vehicles, including two-wheelers, three-wheelers, and four-wheelers, took part in the first-of-its-kind Rally-E Hyderabad on Sunday. The rally, which Jayesh Ranjan, Principal Secretary, Industries & Commerce (I&C) and IT, Actor Adivi Sesh, and Director Nag Ashwin flagged off, started from Peopleā€™s Plaza, Necklace Road, and ended at Hitex Convention Centre. It aims to spread the message of sustainable mobility and showcase the depth of EV adoption in Hyderabad city.

The rally is an initiative of the Telangana government to showcase Next-gen EV Technologies & Innovations at Hyderabad E-Mobility Week from February 5 to February 11. Apollo Tyres is the exclusive industry partner for Hyderabad E-Mobility Week. The rally begins ahead of FIA Formula E 2023 Greenko E-Prix, first-ever green race on February 11 at the scenic Hussain Sagar Lake. A total of 11 teams with 22 cars will participate, including notable names like McLaren, Maserati, Porsche, Jaguar, Nissan, and Mahindra Racing. The highlight of the event will be the introduction of the Gen3 Era Formula E car, which is known for its top speed of 322kmph and its status as the world's fastest, lightest, most powerful, and most efficient electric race car.

A special stunt show by Sheraaz and Rahul of Gravton Motors was the highlight of the rally.


The rally passed through Peopleā€™s Plaza, IMAX Necklace Road Rotary, VV statue, KCP junction, Panjagutta, NFCL, Sagar Society, KBR Park, Jubilee Hills check-post, Road No. 45, and cable bridge, entering the Cyberabad limits. The participants of the Rally-E reached straight into a scintillating music concert by Band Buddies (formerly Rooh), Jammers Band and lyricist Krishna Chaitanya at the sprawling Hitex grounds as a befitting curtain raiser to the exciting week ahead for the Formual-E race.

Speaking about the event, CEO of Gravton Motors, Parshuram Paka said, ā€œThis initiative will support and promote the message of sustainable mobility not just in the city but at a national level. We are so delighted to be participating in the Hyderabad E-Mobility week which I believe will be a revolutionary and monumental event giving a significant experience for EV lovers".


The weeklong event will feature top global and domestic companies exhibiting next-gen electrification technologies, innovative products & solutions in the EV and energy storage systems space. In Hyderabad, one can also find metro trains, TSRTC Pushpak buses, bus shelters, airport, and public spaces spreading the common message of celebrating the move towards sustainability through the Hyderabad E-Mobility Week.


The Hyderabad E-Mobility Week is also supported by various Government organizations and industry partners, including Citreon, Amara Raja, Hyderabad Metro Rail, TSRTC, TSREDCO, and T-HUB.
