Elevated Bus Rapid Transit System to be launched from KPHB metro to Kokapet Neopolis

Hyderabad: Telangana Municipal for Municipal Administration and Urban Development Minister K T Rama Rao announced in the Assembly on Saturday that EBRTS (Elevated Bus Rapid Transit System) project will be taken up from the KPHB metro station to Kokapet Neopolis (22km) with a cost of Rs 2500 Cr soon.

The project will supposedly be taken up in PPP - HAM (Hybrid Annuity Model). The Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Agency HMDA) will execute this project with the help of Hyderabad Airport Metro Ltd( HAML). The work is likely to be launched in April or May. TSIIC will also be associated with this project.

Furthermore, a detailed project report (DPR) is ready for the development of the airport express between Nanakramguda and the Shamshabad airport with Rs 5,100 crore. The second phase of the Strategic Road Development Programme (SRDP) in Hyderabad with Rs 3,115 crore.
