Ex-Bodhan MLA Shakeel's son accident case: Suspended Panjagutta inspector Durga Rao on a run

Hyderabad: Road accident case involving former Bodhan MLA Shakeel's son Sahil has taken a dramatic turn with former Panjagutta Inspector Durga Rao absconding after suspension.

The incident occurred on the night of December 23, 2022 at Praja Bhavan. Rao was suspended after an investigation.

Nizamabad Inspector Premkumar and Shakeel's follower, Abdulwahe, were arrested on Sunday. Subsequently, they were interrogated by the West Zone Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) S.M. Vijay Kumar regarding the details of the incident and the individuals involved. The focus of the interrogation was on call data to ascertain the extent of their involvement.

After questioning, Premkumar and Abdulwahe were produced before the 14th ACMM Court in Nampally, where they were granted bail. However, the police have added another section to the case, to arrest Durga Rao. It appears that Rao is currently absconding.

Police officials have formed five special teams to track down and apprehend Durga Rao. Simultaneously, the police have already issued lookout notices against Shakeel and his son Rahil, also known as Sahil, who are presently in Dubai.
