Hyderabad: A large explosion occurred at the Telangana Spice Kitchen in Jubilee Hills early on Sunday. At least two persons, including a toddler, have been injured.
According to reports, the Telangana Spice Kitchen restaurant’s kitchen was engulfed in flames after a loud explosion. Officials suspect that the reason for the fire and the explosion that led to the hotel’s property being destroyed is the refrigerator’s compressor, which exploded.

Stones and other debris flew up to 100 metres due to the blast’s ferocity, hitting the nearby Durga Bhavani Nagar basti. A woman, identified as Pooja, and her daughter sustained minor injuries in the incident.

Four huts of construction workers were completely damaged and a few electricity poles were knocked down. Upon receiving information about the incident, Jubilee Hills DCP Vijay Kumar and ACP Venkatagiri rushed to the spot and began their investigation.
The police took the hotel manager into custody to inquire about the cause. After visiting the location, the Clues team picked up items of importance for analysis from the site. Further investigation is on, the police said.
Meanwhile, Khairatabad MLA Danam Nagender also visited the spot and took stock of the situation from the locals.
