Hyderabad: A massive job scam has been unearthed in Madhapur, where a fake software firm allegedly swindled over Rs 10 crore from more than 400 job aspirants under the pretext of providing training and guaranteed placements. The case has triggered outrage and panic across the IT corridor.

Lakhs collected in the name of training and jobs

The accused company, operating under the name NSN Infotech, reportedly collected amounts ranging up to Rs 3 lakh per candidate, claiming to offer advanced IT training followed by assured job placements.

Hundreds of unemployed youth, desperate for opportunities, fell prey to the carefully crafted promises.

Fake image of influence to trap victims

One of the victims alleged that the firm’s owner, Swamy Naidu, is the mastermind behind the scam. To gain trust, he allegedly projected himself as a private television channel owner, creating a false image of prestige and credibility to lure candidates and their families.

Office found locked, board removed

The fraud came to light when aspirants, after repeatedly failing to reach the management, visited the Madhapur office only to find the company board removed and the premises completely deserted. The sudden disappearance confirmed their worst fears, that they had been cheated.

EOW complaints, accused on the run

Following the revelation, dozens of victims lodged formal complaints with the Economic Offences Wing (EOW) of the Cyberabad Police Commissionerate. Police officials confirmed that Swamy Naidu is currently absconding, and a search operation has been launched to trace him and recover the defrauded money.

IT belt on edge after fresh scam

The incident has caused widespread alarm in the Madhapur–Hitec City IT belt, already reeling under a rise in fake recruitment and training scams. Many victims said they had invested borrowed money and family savings, hoping for stable jobs.

Police advisory to youth on job scams

Police have issued a strong advisory urging job seekers to:

- Verify company registrations and credentials.

- Avoid paying large amounts for job guarantees.

- Approach the police immediately if suspicious demands are made.

- Officials warned that employment-related fraud is increasing rapidly, targeting vulnerable youth.
