Hyderabad: The Students Protection Forum of JNTUH has raised concerns over the unauthorised use of the official logo of Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Hyderabad, and the circulation of fake circulars in the name of Registrar K Venkateswara Rao and the University.
Fake circulars spreading false information about students
In a representation submitted to the authorities, forum members alleged that certain individuals and organisations have been misusing the JNTUH logo to issue fake circulars, thereby spreading false information among students and stakeholders.
They stated that such actions were misleading the academic community and damaging the credibility and reputation of the university.
The forum urged the university administration to take immediate measures to address the issue.
Students urge university to clarify
Their demands include strict action against those misusing the logo, filing of a cyber complaint against the individuals or groups involved in creating and circulating fake circulars and issuing an official clarification cautioning students and the public against such fraudulent communications.
The members emphasised that timely intervention would help safeguard the dignity and integrity of the university while preventing further misuse of its name and logo.
