Fire breaks out at Banjara Hills Park Hyatt housing Sunrisers team; players safely evacuated
Hyderabad: A fire broke out on the first floor of the Park Hyatt Hotel in Banjara Hills on Monday while the Sunrisers Hyderabad IPL cricket team was inside the hotel.
No casualties were reported. The team was staying on the sixth floor at the Hayatt for their scheduled IPL matches in Hyderabad.
According to the Hyderabad District Fire Officer, the SRH team members checked out according to schedule, and all members are safe.
Amid tight security by hotel management and police personnel, the cricket players were relocated to another location in their team bus.

Tension prevailed for a while as the guests and hotel staff panicked when the fire began spreading rapidly from the afflicted floor, causing thick smoke. Many of them departed the premises for safety.
Upon receiving information about the incident, firefighters rushed to the scene and controlled the fire which spread dense smoke across the vicinity.
According to preliminary findings, the fire may have been caused by electrical wiring on the first floor. However, the cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained.
