Fire breaks out at CMR Shopping Mall in Uppal; property worth crores lost

Hyderabad: A massive fire broke out at the recently inaugurated CMR SHOPPING MALL located near the Uppal Bus Stand on Tuesday night.

The shopping mall, in operation for just three months, suffered severe damage. Two floors were completely engulfed in flames. Property worth crores was lost in the incident.

The fire broke out at 10:15 pm when locals noticed thick smoke and flames emanating from the CMR Shopping Mall. They immediately alerted the fire brigade, Fire tenders rushed to the spot to douse the flames.



Fortunately, the mall had closed for the day, and all employees and staff had left the premises by 9:30 pm. The shopping mall, a bustling hub, has around 300 employees.

Firefighters worked tirelessly for about an hour and a half to bring the fire under control, preventing it from spreading further. Preliminary reports from the authorities suggest that the fire may have originated from an electrical short circuit.



Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Janaki arrived at the scene and launched the investigation to determine the exact cause of the fire.
