First flight from Hyderabad lands at new Goa Manohar International Airport

Hyderabad: This New Year, GMR Hyderabad International Airport gave passengers from the City of Pearls a chance to see the new Goa Manohar International Airport at Mopa. The inaugural flight, Indigo 6E 6145, took off with 179 passengers from Hyderabad at 7:40 a.m. for the beach destination, Goa. In addition to Indigo, Go First also commenced its daily flight service to Goa Manohar International Airport on Thursday.

The Goa Manohar International Airport at Mopa was inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on 11 December 2022. The design and aesthetics of the airport will surely enchant the passengers. Built on 2,132 acres, the airport is located at Pernem Taluka in North Goa. It is a state-of-the-art, 24x7 international airport serving all segments of inbound and outbound tourism.

Speaking on this launch, Pradeep Panicker, CEO of GMR Hyderabad International Airport Limited, said, "We are excited to launch the first flight service to the new Goa Manohar International Airport at Mopa. With the airport in Mopa getting operational, tourists are in for a delightful travel experience. Akasa Air will soon follow with a daily flight service to New Goa Manohar International airport as well.
