Flypast by IAF's Suryakiran Aerobatic Team in Hyderabad on 2 April
The team whose motto is ‘Sadaiv Sarvottam’ (Always the Best) will also be doing a flypast in the skies of Hyderabad on 2 April.
By Newsmeter Network Published on 1 April 2022 4:26 PM ISTHyderabad: The Suryakiran Aerobatic Team of the Indian Air Force, popularly known as the Ambassadors of the Indian Air Force, will have their final aerobatic display of the 2021-22 season in Hakimpet on 3 April. The team whose motto is 'Sadaiv Sarvottam' (Always the Best) will also be doing a flypast in the skies of Hyderabad on 2 April.
The flyover is being held to commemorate the 50th anniversary of India's victory in the 1971 Indian-Pakistan war.
An online photography competition is also being held. The 'best tagged' photo will receive a 'personalised hamper' from the Suryakiran team.
As per the timetable shared by the team, the aerobatic display is set to fly in a North to South. The schedule is listed below:
Air Force Academy, Dundigal at 1:09 pm, Hakimpet at 1:17 pm, Begumpet airport at 1:18 pm, the University of Hyderabad at 1:19 pm, Golconda fort at 1:23 pm, National Police Academy at 1:24 pm, Falaknuma at 1:28 pm, Charminar at 1:29 pm, Hussain Sagar at 1:30 pm.
Other than exciting aerobatic displays, the team also does flypasts across the country to inspire and motivate the youth. The team also has the distinction of being among the nine aircraft formation aerobatic teams in the world. The team was formed in 1996 as part of the 52nd squadron of the IAF. They fly the Hawk Mk132 aircraft, license manufactured in India by Hindustan Aeronautics Limited.
