Hyderabad: Mystery shrouds the death of former Eluru MP Maganti Venkateshwar Rao's son at Hotel Hyatt Place in Banjara Hills late on Tuesday.

Police suspect Maganti Ravindranath Chowdhary might have died of ill health. Ravindranath, a resident of Kokapet, has been suffering from liver cirrhosis.

Police and hotel staff broke into the room and found Ravindranath lying in a pool of blood. Police said no injuries have been found on the body. Police suspect that he could have died due to health issues.

Police said a suspicious death case has been registered and the body has been shifted to Osmania hospital for postmortem. His family members have also been informed. It is learnt that MP's elder son Ramji had earlier died in Vijayawada.
