Gachibowli's Ulavacharu restaurant booked for selling Goli Soda for Rs.178

Hyderabad resident Vinay Vangala who visited Ulavacharu restaurant on December 31,2021 and ordere Goli Soda which costed him Rs 178. Vinay who was shocked to see the price of Goli Soda on the final bill decided to complained about it to Legal Metrology Department against the restaurant for charging so much for a Goli Soda.
According to the complainant, even MRP was missing from the Soda bottle which comes under Unfair Trade Practices. Based on the complain, the District Legal Metrology Officer Rangareddy had inspected the trading premises M&S Ulavacharu restaurant on February 2,2022. During the course of inspections, a case has been registered for violation of rule 6(1)a of Legal Metrology(PC) Rules, 2011.
Mr Vinay Vangala a social activist from Hyderabad and complainant who recently visited this restaurent said, "I was surprised to see the soda rate in the bill. I tried to search for the MRP on the product which is missing. Selling products without MRP is an unfair trade practice, complained to legal metrology department on the same".
"Consumers are advised to check MRP, manufacturing and expiry details etc for their own health and wealth safety. If any establishment is doing unfair trade practices do bring it to the concerned authorities notice for the action", Vinay added
