Individuals and other organizers desirous of installing Ganesh Idols at public places and taking out procession may submit details online by clicking the link flashed on the Hyderabad City Police website before September 10.
Ganesh Festival this year will commence on September 10 with the installation of Idols. It will conclude on September 19 with the final immersion procession.
Hyderabad Commissioner of Police Anjani Kumar met with the officials and members of the Bhagyanagar Ganesh Ustav Samithi (BGUS) on Tuesday. The commissioner said that permissions are not necessary to set up pandals, however, prior notice should be given to concerned police stations.
Anjani Kumar also assured all possible help to Ganesh Ustav Samithi at all levels.
The police commissioner also assured that fogging will be carried out at mandaps and surrounding lakes will be cleaned. A directory with all utility departments will be created and given to the BGUS. The GHMC and HDMA will also distribute one lakh eco-friendly vinayaks and a water supply will be arranged for the Vinayak Chavithi.
Additionally, 55 large cranes and 150 mobile cranes will be arranged for immersion. Around 15 swimmers, 50 boats will be arranged in Tank bund and 550 extra buses will be arranged for the transportation of public till late night.
