GHMC bans unlicensed pet dogs at KBR Park, cites public hygiene and safety

Hyderabad: GHMC commissioner RV Karnan on Tuesday announced that only licensed pet dogs will be permitted inside KBR Park. The commissioner said the move will strengthen enforcement of park regulations.

The directive came during his inspection of ongoing development works at the popular urban green space, aimed at improving public infrastructure and ensuring better compliance with civic norms.

The commissioner emphasised the need for responsible pet ownership and directed officials to enforce the rule strictly to maintain cleanliness and safety within the park.

Alongside the pet regulation directive, Karnan reviewed progress on walker-friendly infrastructure and urged engineers to adopt innovative and efficient methods to complete the works.

The GHMC Commissioner also inspected flyovers and underpasses being constructed under the H-City Project and questioned their adherence to court orders. Project engineers confirmed that all works are being executed within the sensitive zone and in full compliance with judicial guidelines.

The inspection marks GHMC’s ongoing commitment to sustainable urban development and regulatory enforcement in public spaces, the officials said in a public notice.
