Hyderabad: Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) has suspended 10 officials over alleged financial irregularities, procedural lapses, and misappropriation of public funds
The alleged irregularities were committed when they were posted in the erstwhile Badangpet Municipal Corporation (BMC).
The action follows a vigilance report that exposed large-scale financial irregularities, procedural lapses, and the suspected misappropriation of public funds.
The inquiry, which scrutinized the execution of various engineering, sanitation, and event-related works, found that the accused officials bypassed established protocols, leading to significant financial losses for the exchequer.
The Suspension Order
Top authorities at the GHMC, after a careful examination of the findings and the material evidence gathered during the probe, concluded that the suspension of these officials was necessary "in the interest of administration."
The officials placed under suspension include municipal commissioners, deputy executive engineers, and audit officers who held key positions during their tenure at the erstwhile Badangpet Municipal Corporation.

P. Saraswathi: Municipal Commissioner (erstwhile Badangpet), presently Deputy Commissioner, Circle–16, GHMC.
Jyothi: Deputy Executive Engineer, presently in Jalpally Circle, GHMC.
Venkanna: Deputy Executive Engineer, presently in Malakpet Circle, SWM wing, GHMC.
A. Yadaiah: Deputy Executive Engineer, presently in ENC, PH&ME.
P. Vinil Kumar Goud: Assistant Executive Engineer, presently in ENC, PH&ME.
G. Raghu: Municipal Commissioner (erstwhile Badangpet), presently in BuildNow Cell, O/o the DT&CP, Hyderabad.
Y. Yadagiri: Sanitary Inspector, presently in Circle-16, Badangpet, GHMC.
G. Sridhar Reddy: Manager/AMC, presently in Circle-16, Badangpet, GHMC.
D. Nageshwar Rao: Manager, presently Manager/AMC, Shamshabad Circle, GHMC.
