Hyderabad: GHMC Commissioner RV Karnan has directed the Group–I trainee Municipal Commissioners to place special focus on sanitation activities for the next six days

Hyderabad: As part of the Praja Palana – Pragathi Pranalika initiative, GHMC Commissioner RV Karnan has directed the Group–I trainee Municipal Commissioners to place special focus on sanitation activities for the next six days across the city.

At a meeting held at the GHMC Head Office on Monday evening, the Commissioner interacted with 18 Group–I trainee Municipal Commissioners who have been assigned to monitor sanitation works at the field level.

Data on sanitation workers and vehicles to be collected

The trainees were instructed to be present in the field by 5:30 am and closely supervise sanitation operations in their allotted areas.

The Commissioner asked the trainees to collect detailed data on the number of sanitation workers and supervisors deployed in their respective areas and the number of personnel attending duties on the ground. They were also instructed to record details of sanitation vehicles in operation, including SAT vehicles and Ramky vehicles, as well as vehicles being utilised for other related activities.

The trainees were directed to submit a one-page daily report highlighting the observations made during their field visits.

The Commissioner also informed that Webex review meetings would be held every evening for the next six days with the Group–I trainee Municipal Commissioners.

The Commissioner said that the experience gained while working in the field would help the trainees discharge their official responsibilities more effectively in the future.
