Hyderabad: The Telangana State Election Commission on Wednesday morning released the final data of overall polling of Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation elections 2020. The voting percentage till 6 pm was 45.92% in 149 wards while the overall voting percentage was 46.60%.

The highest polling percentage was recorded in Ward Number 41 Kanchanbagh(70.39%), followed by Ward Number 112 Ramchandrapuram( 67.71%) and Ward Number 113 Patancheruvu(65.77%). The lowest polling percentage was recorded in Ward Number 96 Yousufguda(32.99%) followed by Ward Number 70 Mehdipatnam(34.41%) and Ward 24 Saidabad(35.77%).

The final polling list of GHMC elections will be announced ward-wise after all the reports signed by the Deputy Commissioners are received and verified in the T.Pol software. Any information so far may be considered provisional, from Election officers.


5 pm

The voting turnout for Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation till 5 pm remains low as only 36.01 per cent voter came to cast their vote.

Ramachandra Puram(Ward 112) recorded 55.26 per cent votes, the highest followed by Patancheruvu(ward 113) with 53.30 per cent. While the Lunger House recorded remains 6.77 per cent.


4 pm

The voting turnout for the Greater Hyderabad Municipal polls has been observed very low. Only 29.76 per cent of voters have turned for the polling in the city till 4 pm.

Rachandrapuram(ward 112) recorded 52.98 per cent votes, the highest followed by Patancheruvu(Ward 113) with 52.51 per cent votes. While Lunger House(Ward 66) recorded 6.77 per cent votes, the lowest in the city till 4 pm.


3 pm

The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation polling are moving steadily. At 3 pm, 25.34% voter turnout is recorded for the election in the city.

Rachandrapuram recorded 43.39 per cent votes, the highest and Lunger House recorded 6.77 per cent votes, for the GHMC elections.



1 pm

The polling for the Greater Hyderabad Municipal polls pacing slowly, a total of 18.2 % votes were polled till 1 pm.

Gudimalkapur has reported 49.19 per cent, the highest followed by Allapur 42.74 per cent of voting till 1 pm. While Rein Bazar has reported 0.56 per cent, the lowest voting till 1 pm.


11 am

The State Election Commission has announced repoll in all the 69-polling stations of Old Malakpet(Ward 26) following a complaint of missing party symbol on the ballot paper.

The complaint was filed by a CPI contesting candidate who said that his party symbol was not found in the ballot paper.
"It is noticed that in Ward 26, Old Malakpet ballot papers, the symbol of CPI(M) party 'Hammer, sickle and star' is printed instead of CPI party symbol 'Ears of Corn & Sickle'," said the SEC.
The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation polls began on a staggering note, a total of 8.90 per cent votes were polled till 11 am, December 1st.

Rachandrapuram recorded 25.44 per cent followed by Bharathi recorded 22.52 per cent of voting as of 11 am.

Also, The State Election Commissioner has banned all exit poll results till December 3 evening at 6 pm. December 3 is the reserve day for re-polling in the city.

9 AM:

Earlier only a total of 3.96 percentage of votes were polled as of 9 am.

Till 9 am, Rachandrapuram and Patancheruvu recorded 9.02 per cent of votes polled, the highest followed by Jubilee Hills(8.37%). While Chandrayaguta recorded 0.07 per cent, the lowest.
