GHMC's Know Your Polling Station app allows voters to get voter slips, find poll booths
The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) has designed an app ‘Know Your Polling Station’ that enables voters to get their voter slips and the location of their polling stations through Google Maps.

Hyderabad: The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) has designed an app 'Know Your Polling Station' that enables voters to get their voter slips and the location of their polling stations through Google Maps.
The Android app is embedded within the My GHMC app as an option and when voters enter their name and choose the ward, it produces a voter slip and the location of the polling booth on Google Maps.
Instead of their names, voters can also enter the Elector's Photo Identity Card (EPIC) number and the ward name.
"With a large percentage of city voters having cell phones, mobile apps are designed to allow voters to find polling booths and download voter slips," said the GHMC. Voter slips are also being distributed across various locations.
