Gone too soon: Tributes pour in for deceased BRS Secunderabad Cantonment MLA Lasya Nandita
Condolences are pouring in from across the state and country for young MLA Lasya Nandita who died in a car accident on outer ring road
By Sistla Dakshina Murthy Published on 23 Feb 2024 4:14 AM GMTHyderabad: Cutting across party and ideological lines, various leaders have paid rich tributes to Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) Secunderabad Cantonment MLA G Lasya Nandita who died in a car accident on the Outer Ring Road (ORR) near Patancheru in the early hours of Friday.
Leading the condolence was the Telangana chief minister A Revanth Reddy. Taking to X, (formerly Twitter) Telangana chief minister A Revanth Reddy said, “The untimely death of Cantonment legislator Lasya Nandita left me deeply shocked. I had a close relationship with Nandita's father, the late Sayanna. He passed away in the same month last year. It is very sad that Nandita also died suddenly in the same month. My deepest condolences to their family. I pray to God to rest her soul in peace.”
Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka Mallu said, “It is very sad that Cantonment MLA Lasya Nandita, daughter of late MLA Sayanna, who won MLA at the youngest age, died today in a road accident. My deepest condolences to her family. I pray to God to rest her soul in peace.”
“Cantonment legislator Lasya Nandita's death in a car accident is tragic. Shocked. Unfortunately, she lost her life in an accident at a young age, within 3 months of her election to the assembly. I pray to God to rest her soul in peace and express my deepest condolences to her family,” said TPCC senior vice president G Niranjan.
"I am shocked by the untimely death of Cantonment MLA Lasya Nandita. I extend my heartfelt condolences to the family members of Lasya. We will stand by her family," said BRS party president and former chief minister K Chandrashekar Rao (KCR).
“It is tragic and shocking news that Lasya is no more !! Woke up to the devastating loss of the young legislator who was a very good leader in the making. My heartfelt prayers for strength to her family and friends in this terrible & difficult time,” said BRS working president and Sircilla MLA KT Rama Rao (KTR).
"It is very sad that the Cantonment MLA Lasya Nandita passed away at a very young age in a road accident. I pray to the Lord that her soul rests in peace. My deepest condolences to the family,” said BRS MLA T Harish Rao.
BRS MLC Kavitha Kalvakuntla said, “The death of Cantonment MLA Lasya Nandita in an accident came as a shock. She devoted herself to public service in the footsteps of her late father Sayanna. Praying God to rest her soul. My deepest condolences to her family.”
“I am deeply shocked by the death of Cantonment MLA Lasya Nandita. Sadly, Nandita died at such a young age. I am praying to God to give peace to Lasya's soul and strength to her family during this tough time,” said BJP Karimnagar MP Bandi Sanjay Kumar.
