Goodbye from Rustom: It is curtains for 'Soda Bottle Opener Wala' in Hyderabad

Hyderabad: Soda Bottle Opener Wala, a popular Parsi hangout, will close its Jubilee Hills main road location on August 31. The restaurant is closing its doors in the city.

Soda Bottle Opener Wala is a prominent Indian restaurant chain recognized for its retro-inspired design and traditional Parsi and Irani food, offering a true Bombay Irani café experience.

The restaurant has a vibrant, informal ambience that celebrates Iranian and Parsi culture and customs, and it is ideal for socializing with friends or family. It also has polite and responsive service.

“This decision should not be considered permanent as we are eager to come back soon. Hyderabad isn't done with Soda Bottle and neither is Soda Bottle done with Hyderabad. We will be back and better than before” said owner AD Singh.

It's difficult to select a single meal or beverage from the cafe's menu, which includes freshly baked vada-pav, bun maska, kebabs, biryani, dhansak, sandwiches, and distinctive soda bottles.

The men's washroom is referred to as Diqra in the café, whereas the women's washroom is referred to as Diqri.

For those who like traditional food, Soda Bottle Opener Wala offers a one-of-a-kind eating experience that mixes authenticity and nostalgia.

Many Hyderabad residents who would miss this café have returned to enjoy their Parsi specialities one final time before it closes on August 31, 2023.

Priya Sharma, a resident of Hyderabad, said on Instagram that she went to Soda Bottle Opener Wala for one final meal before it closed its café in Hyderabad. On Thursday, she went to Soda Bottle Opener Wala in Hyderabad, savouring the only Parsi cafe she'd ever tried, which served Dhansak and other Parsi favourites.

"It's goodbye from Rustom, Hyderabad!" says the cafe's closing announcement, which is placed at the establishment. “We regret to inform you that Soda Bottle Opener Wala Hyderabad will close on August 20, 2023, with a Parsi peg in hand. It was a difficult but essential decision and we shall miss seeing everyone. So, Gadhero, come say goodbye! Let us eat, dance, and rejoice. We hope to return soon, but in the meantime, Khavanu, Pivanu, and live the Majjani life!"

Despite a difficult choice, the café intends to return soon, inviting Hyderabadians to visit the cafe one final time to say farewell.

In their goodbye statement, the café invited Hyderabadians to cherish life, its cuisine, and drinks!
