Governor to host I-Day celebrations for VVIPs; Raj Bhavan road might see heavy traffic
There will be traffic inconvenience caused by VIP movement from Rajiv Gandhi Statue, Somajiguda to Khairtabad Junction from 4 pm to 8 pm.
By Newsmeter Network Published on 15 Aug 2023 3:30 AM GMTHyderabad: In view of the Independence Day celebrations in Telangana, Governor Dr Tamilisai Soundararajan will be hosting a reception at Raj Bhavan on Tuesday at 5 pm. The officials have advised the commuters, using the Raj Bhavan roads, to take alternate routes to avoid any traffic inconvenience caused by VIP movement, from 4 pm to 8 pm.
A large number of dignitaries and guests are expected to attend the programme. Their vehicles will be parked at earmarked parking places in the vicinity of the Raj Bhavan and there is a likelihood of traffic congestion on the following routes:
From Rajiv Gandhi Statue, Somajiguda to Khairtabad Junction i.e., on both sides of Raj Bhavan road.
Following is the parking arrangement for guests attending a function at Raj Bhavan:
- All VVIPs including the Telangana chief minister, deputy CM, chief justice of Telangana State High Court, chairman of Telangana State Legislative Council, speaker of Telangana State Legislative Assembly, central minister and ministers of Telangana State will enter through Gate-I and exit through Gate-II. Their vehicles have to be parked at the earmarked parking lot inside Raj Bhavan.
- All other guests holding pink car passes will enter through Gate-III, park their vehicles at parking lots inside Raj Bhavan and exit through the same gate.
- Guests with white car passes are requested to alight at Gate-III entrance and park their vehicles in the following parking places:
1. MMTS parking lot.
2. Park Hotel near MMTS.
3. Single-lane parking from Metro Residency to NASR School.
4. Single-lane parking from Lake View to VV Statue Junction opposite lane of Lake View Guest House.
All guests are advised to cooperate with the traffic police in parking their vehicles in the parking slots designated for them.
