One such video that surfaced on social media on Sunday shows a person saying that "a butcher is planning to kill Gau Rakshak Dal, Telangana state president, Kalu Singh".

The Uppal police have registered a case against one Mohammed Kareem. "On 4 July, we received a video of Mohammed Kaleem making a provocative speech in Urdu which may cause breach of peace and disturb law and order by promoting enmity between different groups," the Uppal police said.

The police have registered a case under Section 153 (promoting enmity between different groups on grounds of religion, race, place of birth, residence), 153 A (indulging in wanton vilification or attacks upon the religion, race, place of birth, residence, language), 504 (intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of the peace), and 115(v) of the IPC against Kaleem.

Meanwhile, another video is circulating on social media with the claim that a cow vigilante was attacked in Uppal. According to a Twitter user who shared the video, "Another Gau rakshak was attacked by cow butcher at uppal in hyderabad, a vehicle full of calf's was stopped meanwhile Butchers suddenly rushed & attacked, hitted him with car which made several injuries (sic)."

Regarding this case, the police said the man in the video was injured in a road accident. He was crossing the road when he was hit by a vehicle. "He doesn't have any enmity with anyone and neither is he a part of any organization. This has been told to us by both the injured man and the complainant. We are looking into the allegations," said the police.

In both cases, the police are investigating the social media claims. They have also asked the citizens to refrain from sharing such claims that can lead to disruption of law and order in the state.
