Hayathnagar tragedy: Speedy car mows down 27YO ETV journalist, injures another

A speedy car mowed down a journalist and injured another at Hayathnagar.
The deceased has been identified as Nivedita Suraj, 27, while colleague Sonali 26, suffered serious wounds.
The incident took place when the two girls were crossing the road at Bhagyalatha, Hayathnagar, on NH-65. Nivedita died en route to the hospital. Sonali was admitted to the hospital for treatment

Both Nivedita and Sonali have been working as Content Writers in ETV at Abdullapurmet.
Police received a call from a passerby at 5:20 am. "It is not a hit-and-run case. The vehicle has been seized and the driver will be arrested today," said H Venkateshwarlu, Inspector of Police, Hayathnagar.
A case has been registered under section 337 and 304 (A) of the Indian Penal Code.
