Cyberabad DCP T Srinivas Rao said the department is open to suggestions to improve traffic management.

Hello, this is Cyberabad Traffic Police at your service: Do you have any suggestions?

Do you want an additional u-turn or complaints regarding a free left blockage in your locality? Do you want to put up extra signboards? If you have any suggestions, please contact Cyberabad Traffic Police.

In conversation with NewsMeter, Cyberabad DCP T Srinivas Rao said the department is open to suggestions to improve traffic management.

"Those who reside in any particular area or take a certain route will know about the roads. Hence, we request the public to come forward with suggestions and complaints so that they can be addressed as soon as possible," he said.

Several people from various housing societies, IT employees, and students have come forward to the Cyberabad Traffic Department with various suggestions to improve traffic flow during peak hours.

The re-opening of the U-turn in the Indira Nagar road is one such example. Traffic police re-opened the u-turn after a bunch of IT employees stated that it would be helpful.

The management of traffic at the end of DLF food street during peak hours is also another example.

"If anyone reaches out to us with a suggestion, then the concerned area traffic officer will visit the site within 6 hours," Srinivas Rao said.

He added traffic department will work on the suggestion immediately.

In addition to suggestions for reducing traffic congestion, the department also focuses on pedestrian issues. "We take pedestrian issues very seriously. We understand their needs as well," Srinivas said.

"The Cyberabad Traffic Police Department is also taking heed of basic civic issues such as potholes, fallen trees and branches and uneven roads and cordinating with GHMC and other necessary departments so that the roads are repaired as soon as possible," he added.

The accidents in Cyberabad in 2022 have further reduced by nearly 30%. In 2021, 3,989 accidents took place in Cyberabad limits. In 2022, till date 2,726 accidents have taken place.

"We are also strictly monitoring non-fatal accidents with head injuries. We are ensuring that the victims are being transported to the nearest hospital with the best facilities," Srinivas told NewsMeter.
