Here are routes, traffic restrictions for Hyderabad Marathon on August 27

Hyderabad: In view of the Hyderabad Marathon-2023, which will be held on August 27 (Sunday) between 4:30 am and 10 am, Hyderabad traffic police have issued traffic diversions at a few places in the city.

The Marathon, Half Marathon and Full Marathon events will start from various roads in the city and end at Gachibowli Stadium. The Marathon for 10 km will start inside Hitex; the Half Marathon and the Full Marathon for 21 km and 42 km respectively will start from People’s Plaza at Necklace Road;

Here are the detailed routes for each marathon:

10 km Marathon route: Starts inside Hitex, Madhapur – NAC Main gate – Khanamet Jn. – Metal Charminar – take right turn – CII Jn. – left turn – Tech Mahindra – Dell Junction – HSBC Junction – left turn – Lemon Tree Junction – right turn – IKEA Under bridge – NCB junction – right turn – Over Gachibowli flyover – IIIT junction – ends at inside Gachibowli Stadium

21 km Half Marathon route: Starts at People’s Plaza – enters Cyberabad limits at Road No 45 – Cable Bridge – ITC Kohinoor – My Home Abbra – C gate Junction – IKEA (Mind Space Rotary) – left turn – NCB Jn. – right turn – Over Gachibowli Flyover – IIIT Jn – ends at inside Gachibowli Stadium

42 km Full Marathon route: Starts at People’s Plaza – enters Cyberabad limits at Road No 45 – Cable Bridge – ITC Kohinoor – My Home Abbra – C gate Junction – IKEA (Mind Space Rotary) – Left turn – NCB Jn – right turn – Over Gachibowli Flyover – IIIT Jn – HCU from Masjid Banda gate and exit from Masjid Banda gate and finishes at Gachibowli Stadium from Gate No 2

To facilitate the smooth conduct of the event, certain measures to regulate traffic at various places/junctions/roads have been taken.

Road closing points:

Traffic diversion points from 4 AM to 11 AM

1. Kavuri Hills Junction, Inorbit Mall, COD junction, Cyber towers, Bio-Diversity towards Gachibowli, ORR:

Traffic coming from Jubilee Hills via Kavuri Hills will be diverted from COD junction – left turn – Durgam Cheruvu – I Labs U-turn, ITC Kohinoor – left turn – T Hub Jn – Bio Diversity Junction – Gachibowli, ORR

2. Road No 45 via Cable Bridge towards ITC Kohinoor and Gachibowli:

Traffic coming from Road No 45 via cable bridge will be diverted towards Kavuri hills – Madhapur L&O PS – left turn – COD – left turn – Durgam Cheruvu – I Labs U-turn – ITC Kohinoor – left turn – T Hub Jn – Bio Diversity Junction – Gachibowli – ORR

3. Kothaguda junction, CII junction towards Metal Charminar:

Traffic coming from the Kothaguda junction towards Cyber Towers will be diverted towards Rolling Hills – Ikea Flyover – Inorbit Mall – COD – Cyber Towers,

4. My Home Abra Jn, ITC Kohinoor, IKEA Rotary:

Traffic coming from COD, Durgam Cheruvu will be diverted at ITC Kohinoor back side – Knowledge City Road – T-Hub road – Skyview lane – NCB Jn

5. Gachibowli Jn. Indiranagar, IIIT junction:

Traffic coming from Mehdipatnam and ORR will be diverted from Gachibowli junction towards Kondapur – Radisson Jn – Botanical Jn – left turn – Heritage Jn – Maseed Banda Vill Jn – HCU Depot – right turn – Lingampally,

6. Gachibowli Jn. towards Wipro and Financial Dist:

Traffic coming from Kondapur, Mehdipatnam will be diverted towards GPRA Qrts Indira Nagar – left turn – Bhramma Kumaris – Gopi Chand Acadamy – left turn – towards Wipro,

7. Wirpo Jn towards Gachibowli:

Traffic coming from Q City, Financial Dist will be diverted from Wipro Jn – right turn – Nanakramguda – Rotary 2 – left turn – merging into ORR – Gachibowli

8. DLF Jn towards Gachibowli, Kothaguda and Mehdipatnam

Traffic coming from Lingampally/HCU will be diverted from DLF Jn. – Radisson Jn – left turn – U-turn Udipi Hotel – ZPHS Gachibowli – Gachibowli Jn – left turn – right turn under bridge – left turn and proceed towards Mehdipatnam,

9. Kukatpally to Shamshabad Airport:

Commuters to the airport from Kukatpally should take a right turn at Cyber Towers junction – Kothaguda junction – left turn – Gachibowli Jn – ORR – Airport

Restriction of heavy vehicles

On August 27, from 4 am to 11 am, heavy vehicles such as trucks, lorries, DCMs, RMCs and water tankers will not be allowed in these routes in the limits of Madhapur, Raidurgam and Gachibowli.

- Kavuri Hills Junction to Kothaguda Junction via Cyber Towers

- Allwyn junction to Gachibowli via Kothaguda

- JNTU, Kukatpally to Bio Diversity Junction

- Gulmohar Park (Lingampally) to Bio Diversity Junction

- Wipro towards IIIT Junction.

The TSRTC officials concerned shall take necessary steps accordingly to plan alternative routes for the buses that ply on the above routes from 4 am to 11 am.
