Here are traffic diversions at Begumpet, Raj Bhavan roads for President's visit on June 16, 17
The buses plying from Secunderabad towards Ameerpet and Mehdipatnam through Begumpet and Rajbhavan are requested to use Upper Tankbund from 4 pm to 8 pm on June 16, and from 6 am to 8 am, on June 17
By Newsmeter Network Published on 15 Jun 2023 1:56 PM GMTHyderabad: In order to facilitate proper regulation of traffic in connection with President Droupadi Murmuās visit to Hyderabad on June 16 and 17, the Hyderabad city police have imposed traffic restrictions/diversions in the city. There will be traffic diversions from 4 pm to 8 pm on June 16, and from 6 am to 8 am, on June 17.
Due to the movement of the VVIP motorcade and the movement of dignitaries, moderate traffic congestion is expected in:
CTO junction
PNT Flyover & PNT Junction
HPS Out Gate
Begumpet Flyover
Greenlands Junction
Monappa junction
Yashoda Hospital Road
VV Statue Junction
Panjagutta Junction
NFCL Junction.
MMTS
The buses plying from Secunderabad towards Ameerpet and Mehdipatnam through Begumpet and Rajbhavan are requested to avoid the above routes and use Upper Tankbund from 4 pm to 8 pm on June 16, and from 6 am to 8 am, on June 17.
Diversion points
- Traffic will not be allowed onto Raj Bhavan Road from Monappa Junction and from VV Statue (Khairatabad). The roads will be closed for general traffic on both sides during the above period.
- The traffic will not be allowed on Panjagutta, on Raj Bhavan Quarters Road (Metro Residency) and will be closed for general traffic on both sides during the above period.
- Traffic coming from CTO Junction and Minister Road will be stopped for a while at Rasoolpura Junction.
- Traffic coming from Panjagutta/Greenlands Junction towards Begumpet Airport will be stopped for a while at Prakashnagar T Junction.
- Traffic coming from Kukatpally, Balanagar via Fathenagar Bridge, intending to proceed to Hyderabad Public School, Begumpet Road, will be diverted at Balkampet Yellamma Temple towards Maitrivanam Junction via Satyam Theatre.
Commuters are requested to take alternate routes to reach their destinations and avoid the above junctions/stretches during the above timings. In case of any emergency, kindly call the traffic helpline (9010203626) for assistance. We urge the citizens to cooperate, said traffic police.
