Hero bystander helps cops nab chain snatcher, felicitated by Cyberabad commissioner of police

Hyderabad: B. Ganesh Yadav, a 25-year-old from RC Puram, was at the market on 4 April when he saw an auto-rickshaw stop beside a woman. It was a busy market day. A little while later, the old woman realized that her gold chain was missing. Ganesh immediately rushed to help her. He suspected it was the work of the auto driver. He followed him on his motorbike and intercepted him near the ICRISAT junction.
Ganesh found the gold chain hidden under the driver's seat. He recovered the chain and took the man to the police station.
In the meantime, the old woman's husband and daughter dialed 100 to inform the police of the crime. The cops immediately rushed to the spot and arrested the accused.
On Tuesday, Cyberabad commissioner of police V.C Sajjanar felicitated Ganesh and praised him for helping the police arrest the accused. He appealed to the youth to stay vigilant and help the police curb crimes in the city. Such commendable works reinforce the bonding between the police and the youth and improves peace and public order, he said.
