High Court pulls up GHMC for failing to take action against Rameshwaram Cafe

Why has HC pulled up GHMC with regard to Rameshwaram Cafe?
The High Court of Telangana, presided over by Justice T Vinod Kumar, addressed a petition submitted by Shiva Reddy, challenging the inaction of GHMC regarding the alleged illegal encroachment onto footpath by M/s. Rameshwaram Cafe, Madhapur.
This comes after a writ petition, presented by counsel E Venkata Siddhartha, prompted the Court to direct the GHMC to investigate the complaint and issue a notice to Rameshwaram Cafe.
What inconvenience has Rameshwaram Cafe caused to public?
According to the petitioner, the location of Rameshwaram Cafe in Madhapur has resulted in congestion to the internal connecting roads, and alleged encroachment of footpath, causing mobility issues.
Furthermore, the Court was informed that the petitioner's attempt to obtain information regarding the cafe's permissions via an RTI application was met with negligence by the authorities. The Court reprimanded the authorities for failing to furnish the building permit documents to the petitioner, highlighting a lapse in compliance with legal procedures.
