Hyderabad: In a hit-and-run case that occurred in the early hours of Wednesday, a 30-year-old bouncer Lingala Tarakram died, while his colleague was severely injured in Hyderabad.

The incident took place at the intersection of Jubilee Hills Road No. 36/10 on Wednesday wee hours.

According to Jubilee Hills police, Tarakram, employed as a bouncer at Novotel hotel in Madhapur, was commuting on his two-wheeler with fellow bouncer Raju after finishing his late-night shift. Around 5 am, as they crossed the intersection towards the check post, a speeding car collided with their vehicle.

The impact of the collision propelled both Tarakram and Raju approximately 20 feet into the air before they landed about 100 meters away from the intersection. While Tarakram succumbed to severe head injuries on the spot, Raju was rushed to the hospital by the locals.

The unidentified driver of the car, responsible for the accident fled from the scene.

Tarakram got married two years ago and has a seven-month-old son.

During investigation, it was revealed that Tarakram was not wearing a helmet at the time of the accident. His brothers, Karthik and Ganesh, emphasized the need for the immediate arrest of the hit-and-run driver, urging authorities to bring the perpetrator to justice.
