Hitech City, Madhapur, Gachibowli: TSRTC to launch dedicated bus service for IT employees

Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TSRTC) is planning to launch a dedicated bus service for IT employees working in Hitech City, Madhapur, and Gachibowli.

On Wednesday, TSRTC MD V C Sajjanar shared the information along with a Google form to be filled out by the public.

"We want to assess the need for public transport for employees. Similar service was there in 2019-20. However that had to be stopped due to the pandemic. Now we hope to continue these services after understanding from which areas IT employees are travelling," Sajjanar said.

The form will record information such as pick-up and drop points, preferred pick-up and drop points throughout the day, and more.

"These buses will run non-stop from the pickup points to the offices," said a source at TSRTC.

TSRTC stated that this survey has been taken up after multiple employees requested more buses.

"It is becoming increasingly difficult to travel by metro during peak hours. If TSRTC has a dedicated bus it will be great. While the bus connectivity to many parts of the city is good, a dedicated bus for employees will help save a lot of time," said P Shruti, an IT employee working at DLF.

Shruti said that she would prefer the bus over the office cab as it would be more spacious and less time-consuming.

The aim of the survey is to analyze and set up the common pick and drop points for the passengers. By the end of the survey, TSRTC aims to pinpoint at least 5 pick-up points in the city.

Prices for these buses will be decided later.

The last date to fill out the survey is 5 December 2022.
