Home minister Mahamood Ali inspects Ramanthapur Pedda Cheruvu, Kapra Cheruvu
Home minister Mohd. Mahamood Ali accompanied by Mayor Dr. Bonthu Rammohan and MLA Subash Reddy inspected Ramanthapur Pedda Cheruvu and Kapra Cheruvu on 15 December.

During the inspection of Ramanthapur Pedda Cheruvu, Mr. Mahamood Ali said following the recent rains and heavy floods in the city, MAUD minister K.T Rama Rao had set up the strategic nala development programme. As part of the programme, they were inspecting the lakes in Uppal constituency regarding works to be taken up to stop inundation in low-lying areas, he added.
Mayor Dr. Bonthu Rammohan said there are around 30 to 40 hotspots in the city that are prone to inundation. He further said that inundation in these areas occur due to encroachment of nalas and lack of a proper vent to allow the water into the Musi river.
Later, the Home minister inaugurated the My Nation petrol-filling station in Kapra that is managed by the Telangana state prison department and run by released prisoners and the Indian Oil Corporation.
MLC Janardhan Reddy, deputy commissioner Aruna, and higher officials from the engineering wing also participated in the inspection.
