Hyderabad: With temperatures increasing across the state in the last few days, Telangana has also been witnessing hot winds.
"These hot winds are coming with the northeasterly winds blowing from southwest Rajasthan and Central Pakistan, very dry areas where the normal temperature falls between 41 to 42°Celsius," said Skymet's Mahesh Palawat.
However, he said the hot winds will subside in the next two days. "In the next two days, temperatures will drop due to the anti-cyclonic circulation of winds fading away and cyclonic circulation taking its place. Southwesterly winds will replace northeasterly winds that will continue to blow in the next 48 hours," said Mr. Palawat.
Meanwhile, the maximum temperatures are increasing across Telangana. In the last 24 hours, Srirampur in Peddapalli recorded the state's maximum temperature of 43°Celsius. In Hyderabad, Seethaphalmandi recorded the highest maximum temperature of 38.8°Celsius.
Rajendra Nagar in Rangareddy recorded the state's lowest minimum temperature of 17°Celsius.
