How HYDRAA‘s timely action prevented encroachment of 2,000 sq yd land meant for hospital in Bhagat Singh Nagar
Hyderabad: Acting swiftly, the HYDRAA enforcement team has prevented encroachment of over 2,000 square yards of government land in Bhagat Singh Nagar under the Quthbullapur Mandal of Medchal-Malkajgiri district.
The land, intended for public utility purposes, including a government hospital, was reportedly under threat of encroachment.
Complaint triggers action
Acting on a formal complaint by the Bhagat Singh Nagar Government Hospital Protection Committee, HYDRAA launched a full-scale inquiry into the matter.
The investigation confirmed that the land in question had been officially allotted for public service projects and was being gradually encroached upon.
Unfinished wall led to encroachment risk
In 2021, the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) had sanctioned Rs 26.8 lakh for the construction of a boundary wall around the land. While partial work had begun, the wall was never completed, leaving the land vulnerable to illegal occupation.

HYDRAA fences off entire stretch
Following the confirmation of encroachment risk, HYDRA took immediate action by installing fencing around the entire plot to prevent further land grabbing. The intervention was met with appreciation from local residents, who expressed relief and satisfaction over the swift response.
Locals welcome timely intervention
Residents of the area welcomed HYDRA’s timely move to safeguard land earmarked for much-needed public services. They urged authorities to complete the remaining construction and take further steps to prevent future encroachment.
