Madhapur cops arrest fake IT firm owner for cheating job aspirants with bogus offer letters
Hyderabad: A person was arrested for running a fake software company ‘Neogen Soft Tech Solutions’ in Madhapur allegedly cheating several job aspirants falsely promising jobs in the IT sector.
The sleuths of the Commissioner’s Task Force, Central Zone Team, who arrested the accused identified as Kaluva Bharghav said he set up a corporate-style office, took huge amounts from aspirants and promised jobs such as junior developer and software engineer.
He even issued fake appointment orders claiming them to be genuine job chances.
Soon after, he disappeared overnight shutting down the office and taking the collected amounts. He was wanted in four cases at Lallaguda, Jeedimetla, Madhapur and Kalwakurthy police stations.
Kaluva Bharghav (34) also worked in the software field. The police seized Rs 1 lakh from him along with fake appointment letters, fake ID cards and mobile phones.
Accused collected details of job aspirants by paying coaching consultancies
Kaluva Bharghav is residing in the limits of Chinthal. He completed his MTech and worked in several IT companies as an HR manager and gained knowledge about hiring and working for IT companies.
To gain easy money by doing fraud, he hatched a plan to lure the job aspirants. He established a fake IT company called ‘Neogen Soft Tech Solutions’ in Hitech City, Madhapur, and also hired a few employees.
He even created a website to make the company look genuine.
He collected resumes of IT job aspirants from coaching consultancies by paying some amount. Later, he sent emails to the job aspirants and conducted online interviews as an HR manager to gain their trust. He collected Rs 1-2 lakh from several victims to secure them a job in the company.
After that, he sent fake offer and appointment letters, company ID cards to the victims. Later, he shut down his office, disappeared with the amount and switched off his mobile numbers.
Based on the complaints of victims, four cases have been registered against the accused at Lallaguda, Jeedimetla, Madhapur and Kalwakurthy police stations. He was eventually arrested on Monday.
A case has been registered and further investigation is on.
