Human skeletal remains found inside abandoned house in Nampally; house locked for 7 years

Hyderabad: In a shocking incident, skeletal remains of a human body were discovered in an abandoned house near Nampally market area on Monday. The house had reportedly been locked for over seven years.

Local residents noticed a foul smell emanating from the locked premises and immediately informed the police. Acting swiftly, the Habeeb Nagar police reached the spot, broke open the door and found skeletal remains inside the house.

Identity yet to be established

Police officials said it is yet to be determined whether the remains belong to a man or a woman. A CLUES team visited the scene and collected samples for further examination.

It is yet to be decided whether the skeletal remains will be sent for autopsy and preservation to ascertain further details about the deceased and the circumstances leading to death.

South-West Zone DCP Chandramohan visited the house and enquired about the incident from investigating officials. The Habeeb Nagar police have registered a case and are investigating the matter.
