Hyd-based AZAD Engineering delivers 1st consignment of aerospace parts to Boeing

Hyderabad: AZAD Engineering delivered the first consignment of National Aerospace Standard (NAS) parts to Boeing, the world's largest aircraft manufacturer.

The consignment is part of the contract that AZAD secured in September 2021. The consignment carried critical and unique aerospace components required for multiple Boeing aircraft.

At the occasion, Ashwani Bhargava, senior supply chain director for Boeing India, congratulated AZAD engineering and said, "This truly is 'Make in India' for the world."

Rakesh Chopdar, founder and managing director of AZAD Engineering, thanked everyone involved for their efforts and said, "The breakthrough is the direct result of careful planning, rigorous production, and smart supply-chain management."

He added, "We have repeatedly reiterated the trust of our partners by flawless delivery achieved through a constant emphasis on a culture of quality and industrial safety."

AZAD Engineering is a prominent manufacturer of components for aerospace, clean energy, defense, oil and gas, and SPS OEMs.

It was founded in 2008 by first-generation entrepreneur Rakesh Chopdar with expertise in manufacturing turbine blades. It positioned itself as a technology-driven, innovative company with a manufacturing facility that meets quality standards for global OEMs (original equipment manufacturers).

They are also setting up a manufacturing plant with specialised working plants and other amenities like assembly, testing, and R&D in Hyderabad to cater to the defense and space programmes of the government of India as part of the 'Atma Nirbhar Bharat' initiative.
