Hyd international airport receives top ACI-ASQ award, again
The ASQ survey is a measurement of passenger satisfaction, business performance, and airport service quality.
By Newsmeter Network Published on 11 March 2022 2:21 PM GMTHyderabad: Hyderabad International Airport has been adjudged the 'Best Airport by Size and Region' in the Asia-Pacific region for 2021 in its category of 15-25 Million Passengers Per Annum (MPPA) in the annual Airports Council International (ACI) Airport Service Quality (ASQ) survey.
The ASQ survey is a measurement of passenger satisfaction, business performance, and airport service quality.
Pradeep Panicker, the CEO of Hyderabad International Airport, said, "We are delighted to be recognised by our passengers as the best airport year after year in the annual ASQ survey conducted by ACI. Since the onset of COVID-19, we have implemented many new safe, secure, and customer-friendly tech-driven initiatives to make the passengers' journey through the airport safe and seamless. Our motto of 'Passenger is Prime' is ingrained in all our initiatives."
Luis Felipe de Oliveira, the director general of ACI World, congratulated GMR Hyderabad International Airport and said the award reflects their commitment to improving passenger experience. "This year's awards celebrate airports that are prioritising travel experience for passengers at a time when the voice of the passenger has never been more important," he said.
Hyderabad International Airport has prominently featured among the top three global airports for nine consecutive years (2009 to 2017), including ranking world no. one four times in 2009, 2010, 2016, and 2017 in 5-15 MPPA category in ACI-ASQ Awards.
It also ranked world no. four in 2018 in the 15-25 MPPA category.
GMR Hyderabad International Airport has won the coveted ACI's ASQ Departures Awards and was adjudged the 'Best Airport by Size and Region' in Asia-Pacific region in 2019 and 2020 in the 15-25 MPPA category.
Recently, GMR Hyderabad International Airport was recognised with the ACI World's 'Voice of Customer' recognition.
